I'm ahmad yassine, am the founder of honalondontv and the following is the full story of the television.
I graduated in media arts studies at Thames Valley University in London , now called "West London University" in the year 2000. Since then I had a major role in establishing 7 television channels. Through out the whole of my professional years in working for television I was lucking the essential part in my career as a journalist which is my freedom to write and say what I believe is right, so everytime I attempted to do just that I faced the challenge of the hidden agenda of the television I worked for, so I had to adopt what I strongly believe is right to what the television wanted me to say.


This issue of lucking the ability to say what I believe is right got even more serious when I finished my last full-time job as a journalist and switched my career to provide analytical interviews in econo-political affairs. During the same day I can conduct few interviews with various televisions, and what shocks me is the reality I see myself in to analyse the same subject, but in different way to suit the agenda of the television am doing the interview with. I started to dislike what I do, at the same time my dream to have my own television was growing all the time.


Around the end of year 2023, BBC decided to close its Arabic broadcasting service, which caused huge disappointment for all of us as Arab listners, who grew up listening to the service and especially to its slogan "honalondon". The slogan translates into Arabic as "here is London" so, BBC radio service used to repeat the slogan "honalondon" about 20 times per day to all arabs telling them that here is london regardless of their geographical position.
After the closure of BBC Arabic, I decided to take on the rich heritage of Honalondon" slogan, so I created limited company under the same name and I named my boat by the same slogan and now my television also got the same name.


I know having a television is something big, it will require huge financial support and mainly because I want to keep my television independent from any biased influence, I chose to have it linked to my boat. Honalondon boat will be able to generate enough income to sustain my television service without the need for the television to be affiliated to any government, political party or even an investor who may have an influence on what the television will broadcast.
In the light of what I have mentioned above, Honalondontv is the only fully independent Arabic media organisation.
Now I can say what I believe is right and if saying the truth will make them die, so let them die.
