I'm now a 2 x GPU kind of guy 😁. The 5090 water cooling block arrived, and so I was able to fit in the 3090 alongside it. This means Daz renders have resumed, and the next instalment of "Girlfriends' Revenge" is now up!

I've had a very busy week doing research in the AI space while I wait for the water cooling block on my RTX5090 to arrive. It is due to arrive mid-week and will be fitted on Friday. This means I'll have space to put back in my watercooled workhorse RTX3090 that has made all those renders you've loved over the last 2 years. Yes, that's right! I'm keeping it for the time being, because there is no indication when Daz will support the Blackwell (50xx series) GPUs, and I can't go without Daz for months on end! So, the 5090 will power the animations, while the 3090 continues to help me make original Daz content. This is my 3090 before I took it out 2 weeks ago to (temporarily) install the air-cooled 5090. Every pixel you've ever seen come to life in my renders has at some point been generated by this wonderful GPU! And, after this weekend, it'll still keep making more again!

No new Daz renders until Daz support the Blackwell GPU series That's right. Hard to believe, but Daz will not work with the new 50-series nVidia GPUs. I just snagged an RTX5090, not realising that support for this series with Daz is still not there yet! This means I have to interrupt the current "Girlfriend's Revenge" series, I'm afraid I can't fit my existing and new GPUs into the same rig as they are both big and power hungry cards. Hopefully Daz will get their act together and make iRay work soon. They are one of the principle users of nVidia iRay so what they do can have a big influence. But I'm not holding my breath.... In the meantime, I hope you can be satiated with the new crop of animations that will be coming of the seven girls (see my previous post) based on my huge library of existing renders. There's plenty coming. It'll just be a bit of a pivot for the next few weeks or months.
